Delilah has been situated on fabulous Lygon st in East Brunswick since early 2007, "it has been exciting to observe the changes and developments happening at the north end of Lygon st, it is great to finally have choice in some beautiful, different types of foods and shopping". Delilah being the product of owners' Adrian and Belle, brother and sister in-law,(a bit of sibling rivalry never hurt anyone!) who observed a gap in the market down that end of the shopping strip and ran with the opportunity. Adrian has been hairdressing for 15 years, being trained in the heart of Bourke st Melbourne and then going on to work at some of Melbourne's finest salons. "I wanted to explore this great art, I wanted to develop a broad range of skills, and subsequently I was able to work with many amazingly talented people". Belle has a bachelor degree in psychiatric nursing and worked for many years in this field, she also has experience in small business. Adrian and Belle had always discussed a venture together, something to do as a family, and with such a great skill set between the two, Delilah was born. Delilah being a juxtaposition of many elements and styles, fine blends of camp, disco, loud, relaxed and fun, a perfect foundation for the creative team you will find there. "We wanted it to be a reflection of the many sides of our personalities, we didn't want it to just be white, sterile walls and conservative decor with extremely high prices". Great packages and chilled out environment are all part of Delilah's philosophy, but at the forefront of that is to ensure that clients are having the whole experience, from the relaxed environment, to the funky decor (you can never have too many fur walls and disco balls!), latest music and fabulous beverages (to suit every palate).
