I had my first appointment with Carlie yesterday and to say I’m thrilled is an understatement. I have never had a better cut and colour or felt so good when I’ve left a salon. I was really nervous when I walked in but was quickly put at ease when we started talking ideas about what I was after. It was easy and I settled in for a really, really lovely appointment. I hadn't had my dry, frizzy, crazy mane cut in over 18 months and used to wear it up all the time as it was in such poor condition.

George came to the rescue and now my ringlets and curls are back in all their glory, and I'm actually wearing my hair out every day! If that's after only one cut, imagine what my hair will be like after a few more!!!

Had my first experience at the salon last week and it definitely won't be the last. All the staff are simply gorgeous; their coffee is great; the atmosphere is buzzing and the stylists know what they're doing. Am new to Deliah Hair Studio, but followed George there from another salon (he has been cutting my hair for something like 6-7 years - that is how much I recommend him) and love it. Just got my hair cut and it's awesome, best salon I've been too, favourite haircut in ages. George cut my hair, but everyone there seemed really lovely. Great vibe. Got home and my partner exclaims 'i love it! It's gorgeous!" And he normally doesn't get outwardly excited about anything! They're all really caring and take the time to give you a beautiful hair style.

It's been a long time since a hairdresser's been able to replicate exactly what I envisioned my hair to look like in my head; but George did it. My wavy hair is beautifully shaped with plenty of bounce whilst keeping the wave pattern intact. I felt completely relaxed and in good hands; and great convo too! Already can't wait to come back.

I am in love with the Adrian and all his amazing products. He is magic!! I have really dry and curly hair and have not always done the best decisions when it comes to taking good care of my hair but at Delilah's with Adrian's help I have learned how to make my hair look great by taking care of it the right way. It's not only the hair cutting that is amazing at Delilah its the way Adrian teaches you how to take care of your hair that makes it a total package. Let me tell you my experience:The first times Adrian saved my hair was when I had lived in Townsville for a while and had made some not very smart choices and bleached my hair, (*making it apear almost yellow). I was so desperate and really needed help. After talking to Adrian he made me realize what had gone wrong and most importantly that he could fix it and sure enough in no time, Adrian help me get it back to good health and looking amazing again. And yes ! I learned not to let anyone bleach my hair ever again 😉

Appreciate your reply, however, it’s not the reply that I would expect from a reputable salon that prides themselves in looking after their clients as it states on your website.I would like to add a few points; when you say you’re filling in the gaps, what you’re actually doing is manipulating and fabricating the whole story and turning this into a scripted drama to favour your reputation. I haven't left any piece of information out and have clearly stated exactly as the events unfolded. I am an honest person and if I was wrong, I would admit so.To begin with, you say that I came in with 'black packet colour' and on arrival at your salon was told by “Adrian” my hair colour was “virgin black”; so here is the first part manipulated as my hair was NOT dyed previously with any “black packet colour”; this was my natural dark brown hair colour.Secondly, I did not receive a full consultation. The “consultation” you are referring to was merely a small piece of advice that I agreed to with full trust in yours and your stylist expertise. I was not advised I would require numerous visits as initially told that I had “virgin black” hair and my understanding of this is that it would be more responsive in the one treatment I needed. Nor was I offered a patch test!Thirdly, I was not aggressive. I am not an aggressive person. I phoned in the next day and was advised by “Adrian” to wait two weeks as my hair had been freshly toned and would need time for the true colour to show through and to continue using “blondepro”. I was advised to visit again so the stylists could check this. As explained previously, when I expressed my concerns to “Chloe” she looked as though I was being unreasonable and came across as intimidating. Perhaps this is the salon culture initiated by the owner and now become the norm for any employee there as the response to my review seemed aggressive and yet you say I came across this way and portray yourself as the victim.I did not apologise for my behaviour as my it was not poor in the first place. So here we find ourselves in another manipulating scenario again on your part.Finally, there were no tears nor tantrums or rudeness. I was calm, polite and clear and made it known the style I wanted and you failed to deliver, but it seems as though you are too afraid to admit this and are quick and happy to manipulate customer reviews in the protection of your own reputation. This shows that you have poor customer service and only interested in the amount of money people carry in their pockets rather than how they actually feel about their treatment and experience in your salon. I guess it’s not the businesses fault, but more owners fault for dictating this kind of culture.Your website states that you are “customer focus” talking about “horror stories and ending up with a hairstyle because of pushy stylists. You’ll never find that in Delilah Hair Studio”. All I can say is for anyone wanting a hairstyle that they didn’t agree to please visit this salon. Any complaints would be brushed under the carpet as there is no ownership or compassion on their part.I find it convenient how customers cannot respond to the owner, therefore the owner has the last say to any reviews.

It was my first time to visit this buzzing place filled with positive energy 2 weeks ago and had my appointment with Adrian. Anything I say will be an absolute understatement! After years of disappointments, Adrian truly managed to instantly pick on what was needed for my hair without me trying and transform it in a way I had never seen before. Adrian is an absolute sweetheart and deeply knowledgeable and highly experienced with curls, he made it seem like a piece of cake as he smoothly snipped and styled my hair back into a natural beautiful shape filled with volume. Rather disappointed that after booking a hair cut 5 weeks in advance I was told 6 days out that it was cancelled and I would not be able to book another appointment for a further 3 weeks after the original appointment date. When I expressed my disappointment over the phone, the chirpy voice on the other end suddenly turned very cold and I was made to feel that I was being unreasonable for not wanting to wait 2 months for a haircut. I understand that this was a result of a staff member leaving suddenly. However, there needs to be measures in place to ensure cancellations from the studio are better covered, a disrespectful attitude is not the way to handle it.

I’d had a terrible cut elsewhere and felt really crushed until I booked in with Adrian at Delilah. Oh My Gawd! He’s FABULOUS! He listened to everything I wanted (and didn’t want) then gave me the most amazing cut and treatment I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot)! It’s shorter and funkier than ever but he also picked a style that *suits me* and my face and body shape. Not only do I look different but I feel differently about myself too- all from a great haircut by a great hairdresser that made me feel 100% at ease. Adrian’s been doing fab things with hair and people for 20+ years and it shows. He and his team are awesome and I’m VERY happy to make the drive every 8 weeks to see them - especially when they create a welcoming, open, inclusive, safe and embracing space for everyone from all walks of life and raise money for domestic violence while they do it. You’ve got me for life!

I had my first haircut in Delilah in November and I was very happy with the results. I have coarse curly hair and Adrian did a wonderful job with my hair. I felt very at ease and the whole environment was very nice. You could tell a lot of the customers were regulars.

Pleasant welcoming staff and atmosphere.

As I don't venture to the hairdressers very often due to previous visits to salons and them having trouble with clients that have curly hair. I leave unhappy and unsatisfied with the job done.

I googled tope 10 hairdressers Melbourne and found Delilah and I would definitely say it is one of "THE BEST" hair salons in Melbourne. I can't thank Adrian enough for completely transforming my old dull hair into a real beauty - my daughter even asked if it was really my hair and told me that I look like a celebrity! Adrian, you are an absolutely amazing hairdresser and the best that I have ever had - you are a real artist and I give you and the salon 5 stars all the way... I can't more highly recommend Delilah Hair Studio enough and will tell everyone I know - they are also very afforable. I went to Delilah specifically because I wanted my hair thermo-straightened (Japanese straightened, permanently straightened, etc.) and I'd read very solid reviews about those results from this salon.

So a bit of back story: I'm one of these Asians (Vietnamese) who was born NOT blessed with a gorgeously thick coarse weather-proof stick straight mane but a fine, fuzzy-in-humidity, curly-underneath-but-wavy-on-top, sad bag of locks. I'd had this permanent straightening procedure done like 8 years ago in the states and looooved it, so decided to give it another go when I relocated here to Melbs.

Best decision ever.

Yes, it takes forever (but you can't get around that, there are so many parts to the process, about which you can Google the details), but the stylists were so kind and helpful that the time just flew by...

Excellent (and I do mean EXCELLENT - stylists who were with other clients would ask me how I was doing) customer service aside, a person who gets this straightening done can't really tell how well it's taken until after that 72 hour mark, when we're able to wash our hair. So here I am, 3 days later, post wash, and my hair is - seriously, and I hated my hair most days - awesome. Air-dried straight and (with some simple leave-in treatment I got from the chemist) shiny, silky and touchable.

A+. And if you're not interested in the Japanese straightening, i can tell you this much - in the almost 5 hours I was sitting in that salon, I saw several happy (and from what I gathered, repeat) customers leaving with amazing cut and color jobs. ��

I was very worried about getting my hair done as I have had many bad experiences at other hairdressers in the past. When I first spoke with Claire and told her what I wanted, she was very honest with what was and wasn't possible considering my hair colour and type. I m so disappointed, I paid 400dollars for my hair extensions and after 1 week all of my extensions dropped .. Honestly, I am a French hairdresser since 8 years, and I had hair extensions since 5 years. Indeed, the girl who put my extensions made a real good job but the keratine wasn't a good quality that's why my extensions dropped .. I can’t begin to explain how excited I am to have found Delilah Hair Studio, I am lucky enough to have a head full of hair which I am extremely grateful for however the time it takes me to dry and straighten my hair is less than desirable. After having my hair chemically straightened at two salons previously I was on the search for somewhere new to try and I came across Delilah’s website. I went to Delilah specifically because I wanted my hair thermo-straightened (Japanese straightened,... permanently straightened, etc.) and I'd read very solid reviews about those results from this salon.

So a bit of back story: I'm one of these Asians (Vietnamese) who was born NOT blessed with a gorgeously thick coarse weather-proof stick straight mane but a fine, fuzzy-in-humidity, curly-underneath-but-wavy-on-top, sad bag of locks. I'd had this permanent straightening procedure done like 8 years ago in the states and looooved it, so decided to give it another go when I relocated here to Melbs.

Best decision ever.

Yes, it takes forever (but you can't get around that, there are so many parts to the process, about which you can Google the details), but the stylists were so kind and helpful that the time just flew by...

Excellent (and I do mean EXCELLENT - stylists who were with other clients would ask me how I was doing) customer service aside, a person who gets this straightening done can't really tell how well it's taken until after that 72 hour mark, when we're able to wash our hair. So here I am, 3 days later, post wash, and my hair is - seriously, and I hated my hair most days - awesome. Air-dried straight and (with some simple leave-in treatment I got from the chemist) shiny, silky and touchable.

A+. And if you're not interested in the Japanese straightening, i can tell you this much - in the almost 5 hours I was sitting in that salon, I saw several happy (and from what I gathered, repeat) customers leaving with amazing cut and color jobs. ��read more

I can’t begin to explain how excited I am to have found Delilah Hair Studio, I am lucky enough to... have a head full of hair which I am extremely grateful for however the time it takes me to dry and straighten my hair is less than desirable. After having my hair chemically straightened at two salons previously I was on the search for somewhere new to try and I came across Delilah’s website. I have attached some photos of before and after but would be more than happy to recommend any one wanting their hair chemically straightened to Delilah, keep in mind that in order to have this treatment done your hair must not be overly processed.read more
