OUR BRUNSWICK EAST HAIR SALON

I am usually quite apprehensive and weary of going to hairdressers as a lot of them can feel intimidating, overconfident and I’m an easily uncomfortable and anxious person. I was so nervous for my appointment, because I didn’t know what it would be like but also I was worried my hair was too heat damaged to get a decent result, I was concerned they’d chop too much off or wouldn’t understand what I needed, as I didn’t really know what I was after either, I just knew what I didn’t want. From the moment I entered I was greeted immediately and told to take a seat. The owner even greeted me when walking past which made me feel welcome and valued. As I was waiting I was watching a hairdresser do another customers hair and it looked so beautiful which was reassuring for me. To my luck, the same hair dresser, Chloe, was the one I was booked with. She was so warm, relaxed and friendly that I immediately felt at ease and relieved. She helped me get to the bottom of what I was after, and was so thorough and detailed in her consultation. I really felt like we were on the same page. I must say she did under-promise and definitely over-delivered. I was so relieved at my results. She explained the right home care for me and how to use them not in a generic way but in accordance with my day to day life and routine. She answered every question I had before I even had to ask and was somehow super detailed while still keeping things simple and clear to understand. Her energy was secure, reassuring and competent while still being light hearted and friendly. I also loved how in consultation she kind of gave me a bit of a contingency plan if things didn’t go as we hoped, this put me at so much ease before any cutting even started which I so appreciate because I could then just relax and enjoy my appointment - including all the best bits that come with a hair appt like the hair wash, scalp massage and beautiful coffee. A bonus is there was plenty of free parking right out front, perfect for high anxiety customers. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you Chloe!

Delilah is a warm and welcoming salon. Dani has been cutting my hair awhile now, and they are an absolute gem. I have been experiencing hair loss and they are always able to cut my hair in a way that always makes it look and feel full, and promote volume. They are also kind, never failing to make the experience peaceful, a welcome break during the week. Additionally, Delilah hair products are top quality, and work wonders (cheers Dani for the recommendations). Highly recommend Delilah and Dani!

I've never been disappointed here at Delilah! For so long I blamed my coarse, curly hair for never being happy with my haircuts, but clearly I was just seeing the wrong people! I couldn't recommend Mr D enough! I have been coming to Delilah for a few years now and after every cut I feel confident, celebrated and seen. It has been a journey for me to love my hair. That journey started when I first sat down for a hair cut with Mr D and he squashed my fears of frizzy hair and helped me to enjoy my curls. For my wedding Mr D helped me to embrace my curls and not hide them away in an updo and I am so grateful as now I can look back at photos and see myself! ❤️

Dani is a true hair magician! I’ve been on my own curly hair journey since 2020, trying to turn my waves into more defined curls. Dani was the first curly hair specialist for me to see and the results were unreal! I thought the only way my hair could look like this was if I got a perm, but really all I needed was to get a hair cut from Dani. I only have to wash my hair 1-2x a week and sometimes I don’t even need to brush my hair because my curls stay so perfectly. Highly recommend seeing Dani to make your curly hair dreams come true!

BEST Salon, BEST experience, not only is Mr D a wizard at cutting curly hair, he's the nicest guy. Everyone was welcoming, I felt so comfortable & I'm so happy with the cut. Delilah product's are a game changer. Highly Recommend.

George is the only person I trust to cut my curly hair, somehow every cut is better than the last. The other staff at Delilah are also always very kind and personable so getting a haircut here is a treat!

I've been attending Delilah for over 5 years now and for good reason: the salon has changed my life. I used to have a really complicated relationship with my curly hair and always felt like it required so much styling, product, time and effort. Since attending Delilah and seeing stylist Chloe, who is an ABSOLUTE gun, I have developed so much confidence in my hair and therefore in myself. My hair is the best it has ever looked, is so easy to style and requires minimal effort by me. A great haircut can change your life and that is absolutely true when it comes to Delilah.

OMG Guech ("Gek") is a hair genius! I walked in with such annoying boofy heavy shapeless hair, and walked out feeling so much more stylish and light. But more than that -- Guech is a gentle and kind person who will really look after you! The Peppermint Crème and Co Wash are absolute game changers. I was feeling a bit lost with my new perm, but both products, made in house, have helped me confidently manage and style my curls in one use! George was absolutely lovely and didn’t make me feel like an inconvenience for popping in to purchase and seek advice about the products. My interaction with him online was also incredibly kind and completely judgement free. He genuinely wanted to help.

Leading up to my booking, I was having an awful day. I was exhausted and just wanted to go home. I still went, and a 30 minute cut with Mr D transformed both my mood and hair! I’ve had my hair cut by George and Josie previously and I can say that the skill at Delilah is incomparable. The service was impeccable as always and I feel so much like myself with the new hair 🙂 thank you!!

I love, love, love my hair cut by George. Day 2 after cut and my curls have already fallen into a natural rhythm. Loved the studio too. Everyone's quite relaxed and friendly.....it was a pleasure not to have my senses overloaded by the usual noises and smells of a busy salon. Dont know how Mr. D and the team do it but the salon was busy, yet such a relaxed and calm space.

I got the best haircut I've ever received last weekend from George at Delilah Hair Studio. I'm so glad I tried this studio. George worked with the natural texture of my hair and really enhanced it without taking too much off. Magic!

Chloe was excellent, I don't think a hair stylist has ever understood my hair so well. She was patient, lovely and gave me the best haircut that's easy to style and suits me incredibly well. 10/10, would definitely go back anytime I'm in Melbourne and would highly recommend her to anyone with curly hair. I have textured afro hair and after a lifetime of terrible haircuts, Mr D is the only person I'll let touch my hair. Not only is he brilliant at cutting/styling, he's also created an inclusive atmosphere where I always feel welcomed, and not othered.

My first time in salon and it could not have been a more positive experience. The crew are warm, inviting and make you feel so at home immediately on arrival. Naia listened to my brain melt of what I was hoping to achieve, what has worked in the past and what has not. She was able to create what is quite possibly the best haircut and style these curls of mine have had in my 40 years earth side!

I feel like I have been deeply seen: my hair has been unleashed and I’m discovering curls I didn’t know existed. I was led through the experience with care and gentleness by all the staff, which is very important for me as a neurodivergent person who can feel overwhelmed by many factors.
