Delilah Lockdown – Update!

Delilah Lockdown – Update!

You are receiving this link if you have an appointment with us between the 7th April and 11th April.

In my last post, I spoke about the public safety measures outlined by the Australian Government that salons needed to implement to allow us to keep trading through the COVID-19 pandemic. Those rules have been changed 3 times in the last week. We have no proper guidance or leadership in regards to this. So we (myself and a lot of other salons and businesses) are trying to make safety decisions for ourselves.

As such, Delilah will remain closed until further notice.

This will be for at least the next couple of weeks. I feel we must pause, and wait, over the coming weeks to see if a further shutdown is implemented, or if it is safe for us to resume trade in a restricted fashion, with safety for the public and ourselves in mind.

We have decided to remain closed for the next short while, as we collectively feel it is the safest option for us and our clients at this time, until we figure out when a ‘safe’ time to resume our jobs will be and what that will look like.

I’m so sorry that we can’t see you all. We will miss all of your faces immensely.

I will be keeping an open dialogue between my staff and making these decisions on a week-by-week basis to ensure the right decision is made at the right time.

WHAT IF I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT BOOKED IN THE COMING WEEKS?

I am so sorry for the lack of correspondence regarding any appointments that you have booked.

There have been no clear or consistent rules set in place for us in the hair industry, making it near impossible for us to make decisions about trade. We will be contacting people in the coming weeks about appointments.

Keep in mind that we are closed until further notice. This means that any appointments in the month of March and the first week of April can be assumed cancelled. We will be making decisions on a weekly basis until there is some certainty provided by the Australian Government.

WHAT IF I HAVE PAID A DEPOSIT FOR MY SERVICE?

Your deposits are safe. When we get a chance to confirm appointments for the future, we will transfer your deposit to your future service or refund it for you.

I’d like to ask for your support here: if you can please consider choosing to transferring your deposit to a future appointment, it would be greatly appreciated. We have no financial income for the salon at present, and refunding a lot deposits at once will have a huge financial impact on us.

WHAT IF I NEED TO PURCHASE HAIR PRODUCTS?

I will be open for some take-away hair product sales days in the coming weeks. I will do this for as long as I legally can. These days will be announced via social media. So it’s best to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to find out times.

I will also be able to post products to people, so drop me an email if you need any:

Your continued support of my business, Delilah, the place that I have spent 13 happy years, means so much to me and my crew. I will communicate any updates as best I can in the coming weeks. As always, please follow us on social media (Instagram and Facebook) for the fastest updates.

Adrian.
